Summary

Survey result in southern areas of Bangladesh 28% and above poor families are not using hygienic sanitary latrine.Due to using unhygienic latrine people are sufferings different diseases Cholera, Dysentery, child diseases & growing unhealthy society.Need to provide hygienic sanitary latrine to under served people.They are not capable to take services with cost.As a result if the people take these facilities from us then reduce rate of child diseases & unhealthy society in this areas.

Challenge

Primary survey result in southern areas of Bangladesh 28% and above poor families are not using hygienic sanitary latrine. Due to using unhygienic latrine people are sufferings different diseases like Cholera, Dysentery, child diseases & growing unhealthy society. At the same time they are not capable to take services with cost. If the project implement in village area 600 poor people will be directly benefited & 2500 community people will be benefited indirectly .

Solution

The purpose of the project Bakergonj Forum will be survey in the project areas & identify the target beneficiaries with assistance of the Local Government institution & Department of Public health Engineering for providing hygienic sanitary latrine.Bakergonj Forum will be organized awareness program on water,sanitation & hygiene with community people & involve them for providing support. As a result, beneficiaries of these project will have better health after using hygienic sanitary latrine

Long-Term Impact

This project will help prevent diseases like Cholera, Dysentery,child diseases & growing unhealthy society.In the process, awareness on Water,Sanitary & Hygiene will be raised in project locations.As a result if the people take these facilities from us then,beneficiaries of this program will change their life for improving better health after using hygienic sanitary latrine in this areas.The project will also contribute towards improving the overall quality of life in the under served society.
